The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) connects the jaw to the skull and plays a central role in chewing, speaking and facial expression. When this joint becomes restricted, inflamed or misaligned, it can cause a wide range of symptoms — from jaw pain and clicking to headaches, ear discomfort and neck tension. At Terra Heal · Massage & Holistic Spa in Lisbon, our TMJ treatment uses specialised manual therapy techniques to release tension, restore joint mobility and relieve pain.
Our approach combines intraoral and extraoral manual techniques, myofascial release and postural correction to address the root causes of TMJ dysfunction — not just the symptoms. Each session is carefully adapted to your specific condition, level of sensitivity and treatment goals.
TMJ dysfunction is often related to stress, poor posture, dental issues or prolonged tension in the jaw and neck. Our therapist takes a whole-body approach, assessing posture, breathing patterns and muscular balance alongside the jaw itself to support longer-lasting relief.
TMJ treatment at Terra Heal is available in the heart of Lisbon, just steps from Avenida da Liberdade, with flexible appointment times, including evenings and weekends.
