A MASSAGE THAT UNBLOCK THE ENERGETIC CHANNELS, BOOST THE ENERGY LEVEL OF THE BODY AND DETOX IT, BRING MORE FLEXIBILITY TO THE MUSCLES AND JOINTS AND ELIMINATE PAIN AND TENSIONS
We offer 3 types of Thai Massage: Traditional Thai - it is done through the clothes with pressure point and stretching, Thai Yoga that is same but with more stretching, called also passive yoga, and Thai Oil massage which works same Sen lines and points as traditional one but is done without clothes with oil and doesn't include stretching. Thai massage is one of our favourite massages! What is Thai Massage? A natural therapy for flexibility, relaxation and energy balance, based on energy flow and energy balance theory of health and healing.
If your body is crying out: "Touch me", "Stretch me", "Squeeze me", "Hold me", "Listen to me", "Comfort me", " Heal me" go for a Thai massage!
In Thai medical theory the body's vital life energy flows along channels called SEN. This energy powers all the physical, emotional and mental processes which will only function normally when energy supplies matches demand. The Chinese call this energy "Qi" and the Indians call it "Prana". Any imbalance or blockage in the distribution can cause pain or disease. When the system is working well and energy distribution is balanced, you feel happy, relaxed, energetic and free from stiffness and pain. The Thai massage focuses on the main Sen channels. The careful application of pressure along these channels helps to release any energy blockages and stagnation. Pressing is the mechanical process used to stimulate energy flow in the Sen, and to release blockages or stagnation which result in pain. The pressing techniques of Thai massage prepare muscles for stretching by increasing their permeability to the flow of Sen energies. The manipulations are designed to stretch the muscles a little more than would be possible unaided.
Even advanced yoga cannot compete with the stretching capabilities of Thai massage when applied by an expert.
Tension and spasm in a muscle are the result of a vicious circle of events involving the muscle and its sense organs; those muscles that are antagonistic to it and the brain.
The more tense the muscle the shorter it gets, and the brain interprets this as contraction, so inhibiting the function of the antagonistic muscles, which weaken as a result.
Regular Thai massage stretches the muscles back to their normal resting length, which deceives the brain into 'thinking' that all is well and it stops inhibiting the antagonists. Before long, tension disappears and joint mobility is restored.
What happens? You lie on a mat on the floor/ground (in case outdoor), with light elastic/loose clothes and without shoes. The practitioner uses thumbs, palms, forearms, elbows, feet knees to press and stretch your body.
It is important not to have heavy meals at least 90 min before the massage. After the massage is good to drink lots of liquids - herbal tea or water to eliminate all the toxins liberated during the treatment.
